I'm still operating on overdrive here, but to see if I can get at least myself to relax a bit, today I'm posting the classic 'Eu sambo mesmo', a delicious, swingy samba. It is a composition dating back to the 1940s, and for 'youngsters' such as myself (all is relative in life...), it is mostly known on the João Gilberto versions (here in a live version). I'm also posting a more recent version by the very talented young singer Roberta Sá.
As the song says: "A minority says they don't like [samba], but in fact they do." And as another classic says: "Whoever doesn't like samba is not a nice person: either bad in the head, or ill in the feet." ('O samba da minha terra') I agree entirely.
