The Episteme conferences have a decent track record of female participation: a conference in Toronto in 2006 had a substantial majority of women, if I remember correctly. But the next one strikes out completely. Which is disappointing because "The Epistemological Problems of Privacy and Secrecy" is an imaginative new topic to explore, but not one on which there is a pre-existing pool of expertise. And you might think that women might be particularly affected by certain aspects of Privacy and Secrecy. (But what would I know?) And one might add: non-whites too for all one knows. Think of the Epistemological Problems of Extraordinary Rendition.
