I got a lot of flack for linking to revisionary US inflation numbers. But there is a lot of very solid evidence that there is inflation in the system that pre-dates the 2008 crisis. For example commodity food prices have gone up 115.94% since 2001. If we include beverages it is 120%. Crude oil is up about 300%.
