[Thank you Erik Angner for the pointer on Facebook.--ES] One of my philosophic heroes (about which some other time more), John Perry is one of the 2011 Ig Nobel Prize Winners in the LITERATURE category (shades of Russell, Camus, etc) for "his Theory of Structured Procrastination, which says: To be a high achiever, always work on something important, using it as a way to avoid doing something that's even more important."
