This week's column will be 'lazy' on the writing side of things, but the music will be awesom, I promise. After talking about Tim Maia and Brazilian soul last week, I figured it might be nice to post some additional Brazilian soul songs, so here they are. The first one is 'Na rua, na chuva, na fazenda' (1975), the first and biggest hit of otherwise fairly unknown singer Hyldon. This one is on the Top 10 list of most played songs in my iPod. The second one is 'Noite do Prazer' (1983) by a band called Brylho; it was a big hit when I was a kid, and it aged really well; it's a great song.
For next week I promise a real column again :)
