I've been too busy this week, and with too little internet connection, to be able to write a post. Now I am at the lounge, waiting for my flight back to Amsterdam, after a FANTASTIC week in Brazil, both in professional terms and in terms of fun.
Anyway, just so that this week doesn't go by without a Brazilian song, here's a song that is also very much about Rio de Janeiro. It is by Marina Lima, a somewhat pop-ish singer who was quite successful in the 1980s. Some of her songs are really nice, such as this one, 'Virgem', which mentions a lot of different places in Rio. It's basically about a break-up, if I understand it correctly (it's all 'poetic' and all), and about how the whole city is indifferent to the break-up. Here is the link to the videoclip, but the youtube version has such an awful sound that I'm posting a different one. Still, you may want to check the video if you turn off the sound :)
