Can I please ask that people actually check the document for the names of people that they are suggesting? Simply use the search function to look for the name. Many suggestions are turning out to be duplicates. At this point, all the hours being put in are volunteered. Thanks!

Lisa--If you stopped listing philosophers in the US according to the prestige of their universities, it might actually be easier to avoid duplicates. Margaret

Is there any reason to not list people alphabetically? That would make it vastly easily to find people and to use. I think it should even not be too hard to get the spread sheet to just do that, though I'm no expert on such things.

I've managed to upload an updated file https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnCL3vO_d_bNdFNuUl9yc3g2YU9zRnBBS0ZyQjljMXc This should be easier to use, and has incorporated the recent corrections and additions.
